Aitana cycling tour 2022

The Aitana cycling tour 2022 will be held on June 5, 2022. And as the Spaniards describe it so beautifully; “No es una marcha, es la marcha”. In other words, it is not just any tour, but The Tour. A collaboration between cycling tourism on the Costa Blanca and the well-known cycling hotel Cap Negret in Altea.

The cycling federation of the Valencian Community has opened registration for participation in the 2022 edition, which will be held on June 5, 2022. Not just any date, but on Whit Sunday. A good time to combine that with a mini holiday with family or cycling friends.

Goal of the cycling tour

From the beginning, the aim has been to connect cyclists of all levels. Therefore, there are two timed sections included in the route. However, it is also for those who want to exercise for a day without the pressure of the competition. This event is a way to join the cycling community and create friendship and collaboration.

Route

As can be seen, three mountain passes are crowned. At kilometer 25 the riders will pass the Confrides pass. At 35 kilometers the Tudons pass and at kilometer 75 we pass the Facheca peak. After about 100 kilometers the climb to the Coll de Rates begins.

It is a 5.4 km spring run that is widely used by La Vuelta a España. It has an average slope of 5.4% and hard slopes of 13%. As a result, the participants will have to make every effort and approach the climb like a real professional rider.
